Once a colony of 72, The Red Shed Cats are down to 2 senior feral cats who are looked after by a small team of dedicated volunteers. The cats live in a heated shed near Bridgewater, Nova Scotia and are fed twice a day. They get flea and tick medication every month. We keep a close eye on their health and take them to the vet as needed.

Our team of volunteers recognizes there are many other colonies who need help in Lunenburg County. We distribute food donations to caretakers and try to help with Trap-Neuter-Return. Where possible, we move kittens to bigger rescues who can vet and adopt them out to responsible owners. Sometimes we foster/socialize frightened older feral kittens so they can also be transferred. We also lend traps.
