History

In 2009, Beth Kent and Lynn Ware stepped in to help 72 cats on a farm. None of the cats had been spayed or neutered so the numbers had exploded to an unmanageable level. Beth and Lynn worked tirelessly to trap and get the adults spayed/neutered and the kittens admitted into SHAID.
The shed was put up in 2017 and originally housed 12 cats.
Over the years the colony has shrunk to three cats who are all in their twilight years: Pet, Callie and Whitey. Each one has a variety of health issues but is comfortable and happy.
